Emerging Artist Cohort American - Craft Council

I am honored to announce that I have been accepted into the 2022 Emerging Artist Cohort with the American Craft Council. This is such an amazing and exciting time, and I am so thrilled that my work has been recognized by such an amazing organization. I feel so thankful and blessed to have this opportunity, and I am looking forward to the evolution of my studio practice. I share this amazing achievement with nine other amazing artists: Michelle Im, Deshun Peoples, Sarita Westrup, Brittney Austin, Vivian Chiu, Juan Barroso, Tabitha Arnold, Emily McBride, and Kadey Ambrose. Please check out their work on the ACC website if you are able to.

Each artist will receive $10,000 to help propel them to the next level of their profession after completing a three-month program of facilitated workshops, presentations, and conversations with established industry leaders from a variety of craft sectors.

"This year's Cohort contains 10 immensely talented artists in the field of craft. After receiving almost 600 applications, narrowing the group down to 10 was challenging, but ultimately we chose those who are emerging into the field with strong voices yet need the support on an entrepreneurial level to achieve success in their professional pathways." — Gwynne Rukenbrod Smith and Katie Johnson, Cohort program facilitators

The Emerging Artists Cohort is possible thanks to generous support from Fleur S. Bresler, the Windgate Charitable Foundation, and the Harlan Boss Foundation for the Arts.
